[Oil and Energy Investor with Dr. Kent Moors] June 23, 2019 Dear Oil & Energy Investor, The tanker attacks in the highly strategic Strait of Hormuz was only the beginning. Iran was already not too happy with the U.S., but with the addition of 1,000 new American troops in the Middle East, along with the U.S. blaming the Iranians for those last tanker attacks, things are coming to a head. On Thursday morning, it was reported that a U.S. drone was attacked and shot down by a surface-to-air missile over the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most important shipping routes. The Iranians took credit. Of course, this has had the effect of increasing the animosity between Washington and Tehran, and the Middle East in general. Head of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps, Major General Hossein Salami, commented on the attack that Iran does "not want war with any country, but we are completely, and totally, ready and prepared for war." And after working with the Iranians for years, I take them at their word. Not that the U.S. is at all inexperienced when it comes to conflict with another country - one of the world superpowers has us in their crosshairs both financially and militarily (read more about that [right here](). I believe we need to be very careful moving forward. We're very quickly heading to what we used to call the "fail safe point," beyond which events have their own trajectory, and we may not always be able to control them. So, this is a situation I'll be keeping a very close eye on in the coming days and weeks, and I'll keep you informed as to the trajectory of the situation.
