=09 [We Need Your Help!](3D"=) =20 [3D"We] =20 We Need Your Help! The Officer Media Group is proud to announce, once again, t= hat we are launching our State of the Industry Projection Survey =E2=80=93 = the only one of its kind in the entire law enforcement community. T= his year=E2=80=99s projection survey is sponsored by Damascus Gear and the = first qualified 500 people who complete 100% of the questions in the survey= will receive a free pair of Damascus Gloves. All those who complete 100% o= f the questions, even if not in that first 500 qualified respondents, will = be entered to win one of four complete riot control suits from Damascus Gea= r. The data received in the 2024 State of the Industry Proje= ction Survey, when complete, will be compiled into a summary report and mad= e available to all who complete it. It will contain information about what = you, the law enforcement community leaders, expect to see from the coming y= ear in the way of growth, challenges, budgets and more. How does the indust= ry expect to be impacted by riots, protests, funding challenges? All data w= e collect, mine, analyze and share. We use an online tool, and we estimate that the survey wil= l take you roughly ten to fifteen minutes to complete. The answers are larg= ely multiple choice with a few checkboxes and very few comment boxes (if yo= ur answer isn=E2=80=99t already in our list of options). It IS a thorough a= nd in-depth survey. We request that you take it when you have the time and = access to the data for your agency. If you don=E2=80=99t have definitive an= swers, we=E2=80=99d request that you not make best guesses but get the corr= ect data. Why? So when we issue the summary report, it=E2=80=99s as accurat= e as we can make it and not based on the SWAG (surgical wild @$$ guess) som= e folks put in. =09=09=09=09 Thank you in advance for your time taken and invested to c= omplete the survey. Thank you to our sponsor, Damascus Gear, for pr= oviding us with the opportunity to give away 500 pair of gloves and four fu= ll riot control suits! Gloves will be distributed and winners randomly selected for the Damascus r= iot control suits after the close of the survey. The survey is open July 10= th through August 11th, 2023. =09=09=09 This year, as we have for the past seven years, OFFICER Media Group is runn= ing our State of the Industry 2024 Projection Survey. What makes this surve= y different and why does it say "2024?" You can go to many outlets in and a= round the law enforcement industry, and even quite a selection of commercia= l outlets that will offer you information on the "contemporary state of law= enforcement." What you'll really get is information about the state of law= enforcement from three years ago (or more). Chiefs, Sheriffs and other com= mand staff members, and even supervisors and line officers in smaller agenc= ies, have a good idea of what their budgets and agencies will look like in = the next budget year. That's the information we try to get in this survey, = and we offer up a full report of the information, as mined from the data, b= efore the end of this year. =09=09=09 For some agencies, the 2024 budget year started this month: they run July 1= -June 30, year to year. For some agencies, the budget year starts October 1= to coincide with the federal budget year and make some accounting challeng= es a bit less so. Finally, for some agencies, the budget year will start Ja= nuary 1. Naturally, the answers we get in our survey are dependent on the v= eracity of the information offered and entered by those responding. Last ye= ar's survey received over 1,400 responses. The agencies that replied ran fr= om less than five sworn officers in size to New York City Police Department= with it's more than 30,000 officers. We reported on the information that i= mpacts the industry surrounding law enforcement to include anticipated grow= th in strength, changes in fleets, changes in firearms and, if there were g= oing to be budget cuts, where those cuts would be made in agency line items= . =09=09=09 =09The survey is 60 questions long but only takes about 10-15 minutes to co= mplete. The identifying information is held confidential and not sold to ad= vertisers, marketers, etc. To receive a copy of the survey final report nea= r the end of the year, you do need to enter a valid email address (personal= or agency provided). Be one of the first 500 to complete the survey, provi= ding 100% of the answers and information, and receive a pair of gloves from= our sponsor, Damascus. We'd appreciate it if you'd take the short bit of t= ime to help us make this year's projection survey our most complete yet.= > Thank you in advance for your time taken and inves= ted to complete the survey.
