This Saturday, join an event near you to speak out against the administration's cruel immigration policies. [Organizing for Action] Friend -- As a Latinx woman, I am always aware that my own immigration status is based on pure luck. My grandfather was deported as a young child, despite being a U.S. citizen, as part of a government-sponsored program. I don't want any family to go through what my family did. It was absolutely heartbreaking to see what I saw at the border earlier this month. On Father's Day, I helped organize a vigil outside the largest processing detention center in McAllen, Texas, to make clear to the children inside that they are not alone. I watched as a 12-year-old girl who traveled from Miami to attend the vigil was turned away as she tried to deliver stuffed animals and messages of love and support to the children inside. It was horrifying to watch bus after bus of children pass by us. We chanted "No están solos," you are not alone, as they passed, and the children waved to us. [Seeing the human toll of this administration's inhumane detention policies up close only underscored how urgent it is that we all fight back.]( That's why I'm proud to serve as the Political Director of the National Domestic Workers Alliance, which is working alongside OFA and hundreds of other organizations for a nationwide 'Families Belong Together' day-of-action this Saturday, June 30. With events all across the country, Americans have an opportunity to send a clear message to leaders in Washington that we won't tolerate this cruelty. Join me and thousands of others this weekend in speaking out against the administration's heartless immigration policies. Tell us you're interested in attending, and we'll follow up with all of the information you need: [I'm in]( Thank you, Jess Jessica Morales Rocketto Political Director, National Domestic Workers Alliance Paid for by Organizing for Action.
