[padding] Hi {NAME},
Ă
The July issue of NZ House & Garden (on sale today) is one of my favourites of the past 12 months. From the standout cover â that shouts its Colour theme so beautifully â through to the lineup of houses, shopping ideas and recipes, itâs definitely one for the collection. Our Home of the Month and cover house is a vibrantly renovated Wellington art loversâ haven. Its owners downscaled from a larger home in Rotorua but insisted that the modernisation of their new two-bedroom heritage villa include space enough for their artworks. The art, along with theĂ mid-century furniture, antiques and objects the couple has collected over the years, has resulted in a treasure trove of a home that I for one would love to live in. Likewise, the Auckland bungalow of Melanie and Joe Spooner demonstrates how you can still be brave with colour while at the same time maintaining an overall feeling of calm and cohesion. Opting for the cool blue of Resene Raven and white paint on their lounge walls, peacock coloured glass mosaics in the bathrooms and dramatic Arabescato marble on the kitchen island and splashback are just some of the choices the couple made in the renovation of what was previously Joeâs parentsâ home. If youâre after just one piece to add brightness to your space, check out the woven wonders and serving ware in this issueâs Style Edit, along with the punchy homeware and News shopping pages â Iâm confident youâll find at least one item that provides the perfect pop. [spacer] Feilding home a brave move
[padding] A tricky site was no barrier for this vibrant ManawatĂ
« home where art and architecture collide. Half of the house is cleverly cantilevered over a sloping section and even its exterior, which references the work of Dutch artist Piet Mondrian, is colourful. à [padding] [padding] [spacer][separator] [padding]

[spacer] An art-loving couple'sĂ inspiring Wellington villa

Their two-bedroom villa is awash with exceptional works by the likes of Don Binney, Gretchen Albrecht, PaulĂ Dibble, Colin McCahon and Ralph Hotere.Ă It's our Home of the Month in our July issue, on sale now.
