[NZ House & Garden]( Hi {NAME}, These days theres a growing buzz around plant-based nourishment. As the name suggests, this is a way of eating that focuses on foods derived from plants and includes not only fruits and vegetables, but also nuts, seeds, healthy oils, wholegrains, beans and pulses. While veganism is at one end of the spectrum, you don't have to go the whole enchilada and cut out all animal products forever to reap the benefits of meals primarily powered by plants. You may want to simply increase the amount of plant foods you eat in general while reducing processed foods, or perhaps just replace a few meals a week with plant-based options. And home cooking is the perfect place to experiment, because we have choice over the ingredients that go into every dish made in our own kitchens. Food trends come and go, but for many good reasons it seems this whole plant-based eating thing is here to stay. In our latest issue I share some of my favourite plant-forward meals that I hope youll find both wholesome and delicious enough to want to make again and again. Julie Le Clerc
