[NZ House & Garden]( Hi {NAME}, For those of us living in Auckland we’re back in a place we didn’t want to be. Sigh. However, the upside is that it’s familiar and we know what to do this time round. So, at NZ House & Garden, it’s business as usual, albeit working from our homes once again. Thankfully too, this September issue on sale today – was done and dusted before we went into Level 3 lockdown so there should be no real obstacles to getting your hands on a copy. It’s a lovely issue – from the spring-like cover through to our travel feature (we take you to the Tasman and Nelson regions) and everything you’ve come to know and love in between. Our Special Feature this month focuses on the bedroom with tips, ideas and four great bedroom styles, plus something for the kids. We’ve included lots of new products to help you get the looks along with advice on sleep health, how to accommodate two different tastes in your design, information on deciphering duvet inners and cruisy colours to help you wake up feeling refreshed and rested. In this issue we kick off with the first in a series looking at the homes of Kiwis living abroad. We figure that you can’t travel far, so for the next few months we’ll take you into the home of a New Zealander living overseas, starting with Gail Monahan’s cottage in the south of London. As our feature outlines: "Gail moved from New Zealand to the UK aged 16 to study at the Royal School of Ballet after being talent spotted in New Zealand… she became a coryphée with The Royal Ballet and often shared the stage with renowned dancers Fonteyn and Nureyev." Her home is all about balance and grace with pale chalky paint colours acting as a backdrop for brighter shades in the form of art, ceramics and decorative fabrics amassed over the years. Likewise, our Auckland cover house came together after years of gathering inspiration from all corners of the world by owners Nicki and John Kelly. The result is a slick renovation of a villa filled with reminders of their globetrotting past. I hope this issue provides you with loads of inspiration whatever part of the country you’re in. Cheers Naomi Larkin Editor In our September issue The golden rulesRich colours and retro shapes are a dynamic design duo – check out our stylist’s inspirational looks in our September issue, on sale now.
