[But if you’re already in the loop, can we ask you to rush any amount to help us protect abortion rights in NY’s state constitution on Election Day? After, feel free to X out of this email.]( Q: What is Yes on NY Prop 1? A: Yes on NY Prop 1 is a statewide campaign of allied organizations, volunteers, and citizens working together to protect our rights and reproductive freedoms, including abortion and LGBT rights. Yes on NY Prop 1 recognizes that everyone deserves the freedom to control our own bodies, lives, and futures. Prop 1 protects the right to abortion for all New Yorkers, and closes loopholes in the state constitution to make sure that no New Yorker can be discriminated against by the government, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, pregnancy status, disability status, or whether someone is LGBT. Out-of-touch politicians are working overtime trying to strip our rights away, so we’re fighting back to protect them. Q: How do you plan on protecting abortion and LGBT rights? We’re working to pass our ballot initiative – Proposal 1 – to enshrine abortion rights and LGBT rights in our state constitution once and for all. That means the state could never enact an abortion ban here in New York. In order to pass Prop 1, we need a majority of New York voters behind us. We can’t do that without your support… Q: Does it really matter if I get involved? Is my contribution actually important? YES! Our campaign is powered by grassroots supporters like you chipping in $5 or $10 at a time. And when a groundswell of supporters chip in, we’re able to make historic investments in our on-the-ground, digital, and ads programs to turn out NY voters. So now that you’ve gotten the run-down, {NAME}, we have an important question for you: ["Will you chip in what you can right now to pass Proposal 1 so we can protect our most fundamental rights – including the right to an abortion – this fall?"]( [CHIP IN NOW]( Thanks for the Q’s, Yes on NY Prop 1 [RUSH A ONE TIME CONTRIBUTION →]( [RUSH A RECURRING CONTRIBUTION →]( New Yorkers for Equal Rights Inc 194 Washington Avenue, Suite 620 Albany, NY, 12210 [nyequalrights.org]( | info@nyequalrights.org Paid for by New Yorkers for Equal Rights.
