Happy holidays and thank you from the Tiny Desk [View this email online]( [NPR Tiny Desk Contest]( As the year comes to an end, we want to take a moment to say thank you for being part of this Contest community — and for giving us the gift of your music. You all accomplished so many incredible things this year. Here are some of the highlights. Singer-songwriter Alisa Amador was named the 2022 Tiny Desk Contest winner on the strength of her remarkable song “Milonga accidental.” In May, she [played a wonderful Tiny Desk concert]( before joining [many of you on tour](. 2019 entrant [NoSo made it to the Desk]( this year, too. And just this month, two-time Contest entrant Mamii was behind the Desk as a background singer for [Westside Boogie’s concert](. This summer, we got a behind-the-scenes look into how the Contest has changed the lives of [Fantastic Negrito]( and [Gaelynn Lea](. 2019 winner [Quinn Christopherson released his thoughtful, stunning debut album]( in September. Last month, Tank and the Bangas and Fantastic Negito were both nominated for Grammy awards. But most importantly, [thousands of you]( put yourselves out there by recording your music and submitting it to this Contest, and you should all be incredibly proud. If you’re looking for a festive soundtrack this holiday season, we suggest checking out our many [holiday Tiny Desk concerts](. We’ve been doing these for a while now, and there’s truly something for everyone (even your fauna friends). Everyone from Preservation Hall Jazz Band to Los Lobos to Amy Grant to HMSTR (yes, a band of hamsters) have performed a holiday concert behind our favorite Desk.
