It reached 7 billion in 2011, and the U.N. predicts it won't reach 9 billion for another 15 years, as [lower birth rates]( slow growth. NASA might finally launch its Artemis moon rocket. The space agency has been trying for months to send its [giant moon rocket]( on a first test flight, and Wednesday morning is the next scheduled window. COVID left families separated for the holidays, and despite the skyrocketing price of airfare, Americans are [not letting inflation get in the way]( this year. Travel for the holiday season is up 1.5% compared to last year, and it's on track to be the third-biggest Thanksgiving travel season that AAA has seen in over two decades.
â¡ï¸ Leading up to the chaotic travel season, [the U.S. is fining]( six airlines $7.5 million and will force them to refund money to passengers for canceled flights.
