The state [welcomed nearly 3 million new residents since 2010]( making it the fastest-growing eastern U.S. state in recent years. ➡️ Although officials urge residents to evacuate, not everyone is able to. [It can be expensive to evacuate]( and people with disabilities, elderly people, and non-English speakers often need a little extra help to get out. --------------------------------------------------------------- Today’s listen [Instead of going back to a corporate job, Farida Mercedes started her own business.
