[Today is the autumn equinox](. Days will only be getting shorter from now until winter begins. Here's what we're following today: Protests have grown bigger and more widespread in Iran as women burn their hijabs and cut their hair short. They began protesting when a young woman died after being arrested by the "[morality police]( ➡️ Mahsa Amini was arrested for allegedly [breaking hijab rules]( and was taken to the hospital with multiple blows to the head. ➡️ Her family says officers beat her, but police say she died of a heart attack. ➡️ Gender-based violence, including honor killings, has persisted in Iran and experts say the law does little to protect women. Buying a home has gotten a little bit easier. Higher mortgage rates have cooled a super-heated market, and prices have fallen about 6% since they peaked in June. [Prices are expected to keep falling]( but don't worry: Economists say this isn't the same as the 2008 housing crash. You'd think this is common sense, but you shouldn't boil chicken in NyQuil for dinner. The FDA had to issue a warning after videos of people cooking [#sleepychicken started trending on TikTok](. Even if you do it as a joke and don't eat the chicken, the fumes from boiling NyQuil can hurt your lungs. A federal appeals court says the DOJ can continue looking at classified documents seized from Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home.
