People are experiencing a wide range of emotions, and not everyone is mourning. For many, it can be hard to separate the queen from the [enslavement, violence and theft]( that defined British colonial rule. With two months to go until the midterm elections, tech companies are rolling out fact checks, labeling misleading claims and setting up voting guides. But some experts worry that these companies [haven't learned enough]( from how quickly falsehoods spread during the 2020 election. La Niña is back for another year in a row — a first-time occurrence in this century. The weather phenomenon happens when strong winds blow warm water west on the surface of the Pacific Ocean, causing cooler water to rise to the surface near the Americas. [This is how it'll affect the weather where you live](. Dr. Demetre Daskalakis has been deputy coordinator for the White House Monkeypox Response for a month. As the outbreak appears to be declining in the U.S., we [catch up with him]( about the virus' future and his journey from HIV doctor and queer health activist to the face of the monkeypox response. For the past six months, former Star Garden dancers have been striking outside the strip club to demand better working conditions. They've taken their performances outside and created truly show-stopping picket line.
