She faced contentious Senate confirmation hearings, and replaces Justice Stephen Breyer, whose retirement takes effect today. The Supreme Court has two more cases on its docket before its summer recess. One could alter the EPA's ability to regulate greenhouse gas emissions. The other will decide the fate of the "[Remain in Mexico]( policy, which requires asylum seekers to wait in Mexico for their hearings. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken says he hasn't seen "any interest on the part of Vladimir Putin" to [engage in talks with Ukraine](. He stressed how important it is for Ukraine to define terms of potential negotiations, and that the U.S. role is to make sure Ukraine has the means to repel Russian aggression. As airlines struggle to keep up with travel demands, Sen. Bernie Sanders wants them to be fined for cancellations and delays on flights the companies can't properly staff.
