Highlights from the final stops in Los Angeles and Brooklyn [View this email online]( [NPR Tiny Desk Contest]( After our wonderful shows in Atlanta and Seattle earlier this month, we were back on the road last week to close out the Tiny Desk Contest On The Road tour. On Tuesday, an incredible lineup of artists brought the heat to our Contest stage in Los Angeles. [Yosmel Montejo]( and his band kicked off the night with a lively set, and he also had an inspiring message for the audience: “We all came here because of a dream,” he said. “Don’t quit. Just go for it.” [Jack Rabbit]( took the stage next, performing songs about heartbreak, friendship and queer joy. Our winner, Alisa Amador, put on another stunning show performing her Contest-winning song, plus a handful of songs off her Narratives EP. And [Pocket Queen]( closed out the night, impressing the crowd with her skillful drum-heavy and groovy performance. For the first time ever, a handful of Contest winners performed as part of the same lineup at the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival in Prospect Park. Alisa kicked off the night, making herself right at home on the biggest stage she’s performed on yet – and even receiving a standing ovation from a few thousand New York fans. Then, 2020 winner and New York native [Linda Diaz]( took the stage to play her gorgeous R&B songs. Next, [Seratones]( (one of the [many Contest entrants who played the Tiny Desk despite not winning the Contest]( took over and rocked the park. And for the grand finale, our first-ever Contest winner, three-time Grammy Award winner [Fantastic Negrito]( put on an incredible performance, playing [the song]( he won the Contest with and songs from his new album, White Jesus Black Problems.
