Here's what we're following today: In the wake of the mass shootings in Uvalde, Texas, and Buffalo, N.Y., lawmakers are attempting to come to an agreement on the issue of gun control. A bipartisan group of senators has turned toward "red flag" policies, which would [let authorities take guns from people]( at high risk for harming themselves or others. Food prices are hard-hit by the highest inflation in four decades, with the worst impact on low-income families. Demand at food banks has risen, but the [inflation price hikes]( mean the [groups can't keep up]( with people's needs. The leaked Supreme Court opinion has prompted questions about what could happen if Roe v. Wade were overturned, including potential effects on hospitals, in vitro fertilization, care for miscarriages and more.
