It's a chance for the country to show off its progress. But several countries including the U.S. have implemented [diplomatic boycotts]( of the Games due to China's human rights abuses. A major winter storm with millions of Americans in its path is dumping a mix of [rain, freezing rain and snow to the central U.S](. Thousands are without power this morning across Texas and Oklahoma. The Army says it will begin to discharge soldiers who refuse to get the COVID-19 vaccine and have not gotten an approved or pending exemption. Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth says unvaccinated soldiers are a "[risk to the force]( President Biden is moving roughly 3,000 troops closer to Ukraine as fears of a Russian invasion continue.
