[View this email online]( [NPR]( by Suzanne Nuyen First up Jose Luis Magana/AP Here's what we're following today: Nearly 1 in 4 Americans say it's sometimes OK to use violence against the government, according to a poll from the [COVID States Projec]( — with a similar percentage of liberals and conservatives agreeing. That's not as surprising as it might seem, given how U.S. history is taught. But some historians say the poll questions lacked context. Although patients with omicron are being hospitalized and dying at lower rates than delta, hospitals are as full as ever. That's because [omicron is highly contagious]( and is hitting hard at the unvaccinated and immunocompromised. Spotify says it will add a content advisory to any podcasts that discuss the COVID-19 pandemic. The decision comes after Neil Young and Joni Mitchell removed their music from the platform because of its [association with Joe Rogan]( whose podcast spreads COVID misinformation. ➡️ Rogan said he was "very happy" with the advisories and [didn't intend to spread COVID misinformation,]( only have conversations with people with "differing opinions." Federal prosecutors have reached a plea deal with two of the three men convicted of murdering Ahmaud Arbery. The Department of Justice charged the three defendants with hate crimes.
