Staffers say that [relationships across the aisle have suffered]( and polarization and partisanship exacerbated. President Biden is expected to blame former President Donald Trump for the events of that day. As researchers studied the more than 700 suspects arrested in connection with the Capitol attack, they found one thing that distinguishes that group: [a belief in replacement theory](. "They are very concerned about the idea that the rights of whites are being overtaken by the rights of minorities," one leading researcher explained. The probe into the attack on the Capitol has been one of the largest, most complex and most resource-intensive investigations in American history.
