Preliminary research indicates this variant is both [more efficient]( at entering cells and replicates itself faster once inside. ➡️ Health experts are once again stressing the importance of masking. But at this point in the pandemic, [only 10 states]( still have mask mandates. School enrollment has dropped for the second year in a row as the pandemic drags on. Some students have pivoted to private schools and charter schools or homeschooling. But educators are worried some may have simply [fallen through the cracks](. A Miami-Dade County grand jury has released documents outlining the need for serious reforms to condo safety, six months after the Champlain Towers South collapsed and killed 98 people. The document stopped short of [drawing a conclusion]( on what caused the disaster. The Federal Reserve is planning to phase out its large-scale bond-buying program, which would give it more flexibility to [raise interest rates](. The move is coming sooner than initially planned in an effort to curb current inflation. Today is the FDA's deadline to complete reviews that could make access to the abortion pill easier.
