He is [the only foreign journalist]( to be convicted of a serious crime since the army seized power in February. Scientists are just beginning to understand what causes long COVID, a series of debilitating symptoms that persist after catching the virus. Abnormalities found in the immune systems of patients could explain the syndrome, but [there's still much more to learn](. At the COP26 summit, the U.S. and China announced they have agreed to cooperate on limiting greenhouse gas emissions. The two countries are the top culprits and [account for about 40%]( of the world's carbon output. Prosecutors in Kyle Rittenhouse's homicide trial say they plan to pursue lesser charges against him.
