A sincere thank you; plus, win free Tiny Desk merch [View this email online]( [NPR Tiny Desk Contest]( Last night, the 2021 Tiny Desk Contest officially closed for entries. Thank you and congratulations to all of you — artists from all 50 states — who shared your music with us. From those of you who just entered the Contest for your [fifth, sixth or even seventh time]( (it’s so nice to see you again!) to musicians who are brand new to this community (welcome!), everyone who entered this year’s Contest has something to be proud of. As we sift through the thousands of entries we received, you’ll see them start to appear in the [entry browser]( on our website. If you don’t see yours there yet, don’t worry; it may take a few days for yours to appear. We hope you’re proud of what you made and share your entry with your families and friends — and also discover and congratulate other Contest artists. We’d love to know a little more about you. Why did you decide to enter? How can we make the Contest better? Just want to share something with us about your experience? Fill out our [anonymous survey]( to help us get to know the Contest community better. (Plus, some of you who complete the survey will be randomly selected to receive a free [Tiny Desk mug]( [Take Survey]( Before we announce this year’s winner, we have some exciting things in store. To celebrate the wide range of creative entries we’ve received, we’re sharing a new entry as the #DeskOfTheDay on our [Instagram]( and [Twitter]( every day in June. We’re also sharing some of the very best entries we see each week on the All Songs Considered blog. Featuring artists from Boston to Los Angeles, [the latest roundup]( includes odes to being fed up, a song inspired by silence and more. --------------------------------------------------------------- Newsletter continues after sponsor message --------------------------------------------------------------- Once our judges have watched your entries, we’ll kick off our second-annual Tiny Desk Contest Top Shelf series, which we like to think of as a congratulatory celebration for this Contest community. Each week on NPR Music’s YouTube channel, judges will share a handful of their favorite entries — and even interview some of you live. We hope you’ll join us to shower Contest artists with praise and see the top picks before we announce this year’s winner. The entry period may be over, but the fun is just beginning.
