Marjorie Taylor Greene — the controversial, QAnon-supporting freshman congresswoman — on Monday found herself facing blowback from her own party's leadership for espousing dangerous and unfounded conspiracies about American politics. Greene has blamed Jews for California wildfires and harassed students who survived the deadly Parkland school shooting that she claims didn’t happen. Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell says these views are [a “cancer” on the party](. Democrats in the House want her to be censured or expelled. The mayor of Rochester, N.Y., has suspended two police officers who restrained and pepper-sprayed a 9-year-old girl last Friday. Authorities say the officers were responding to a family disturbance and claimed the girl was suicidal. Police body camera video [shows the girl crying and begging]( not to be sprayed. Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny was arrested on Jan. 17 when he returned to Russia after recovering from poisoning, which he blames on Russia's president. Myanmar's military announced Monday that it has seized power and will rule the country for at least one year after confining its top political leaders, including Aung San Suu Kyi, to their homes.
