President Biden has set a new goal. He wants nearly all Americans to be vaccinated by the end of the summer. That's if Moderna and Pfizer are able to deliver [enough additional doses]( of their COVID-19 vaccines. The Senate has rejected a Republican effort to halt the impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump. The chamber voted to dismiss a charge brought by Republican Sen. Rand Paul that argued the trial was unconstitutional because Trump had already left office. [Only five Republicans broke ranks]( to support moving ahead with the trial. President Biden telephoned Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday to discuss Russia's detention of opposition leader Alexei Navalny, the suspected Russian involvement in massive cyberattacks in the U.S., and reports that Russia offered bounties for killings of U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
