House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer have called for President Trump to be removed from office via the 25th Amendment. If approved, it would make Trump the only president in history to be impeached twice. More than 24 hours after the violence at the Capitol, President Trump on Thursday night condemned the attack in a video he posted on social media. U.S. Capitol Police announced late Thursday that Officer Brian Sicknick died from injuries sustained during this week's violent assault on the chambers of Congress by pro-Trump extremists. [The Capitol's three top security officials have resigned]( amid growing pressure from lawmakers and others over failures that allowed the dramatic breach.
