Breonna Taylor’s ex-boyfriend, Jamarcus Glover, was offered a plea deal if he would claim Taylor was part of an “organized crime syndicate.” Glover turned down the deal from Louisville, Ky. prosecutors and now faces drug trafficking charges. [Taylor was shot dead on March 13]( by white Louisville Metro Police officers who had broken into her apartment at night using a "no-knock" warrant. A sweeping new ban on evictions from the Trump administration could stop millions of people who’ve lost their jobs from being forced from their homes. The new ban, which doesn't offer any way for landlords to recoup unpaid rent, is [being met with a mixed response](. The Federal Emergency Management Agency said it will stop paying states to provide cloth masks to schools, public housing and courthouses on Sept. 15. A spokesperson for the Department of Health and Human Services said in an email to NPR that "schools in need will still receive cloth face masks" [from HHS rather than FEMA](. The Trump administration is proposing to take far more personal data from people as part of the immigration process. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is currently allowed to collect fingerprints, photographs and signatures, but government officials could collect DNA, eye scans, voice prints and photographs for facial recognition under the new proposal.
