British Prime Minister Theresa May announced Friday that she will resign. [May has faced withering political pressure]( after her failure to lead the United Kingdom out of the European Union. She will resign as the head of the Conservative Party on June 7 and a successor will be chosen. Harvey Weinstein has reached a tentative $44 million deal with women who accused the movie mogul of sexual misconduct. "That $44 million is not coming from Harvey Weinstein himself, [it's actually coming from insurance policies]( said Wall Street Journal reporter Corinne Ramey. The 29-year-old incapacitated woman who gave birth at an Arizona long-term care facility last December had been raped repeatedly and may have been pregnant before, her lawyers say. They filed a $45 million notice of claim to the state on Wednesday. A former nurse who was caring for the woman has been arrested and charged with sexual assault and vulnerable adult abuse after [DNA testing matched him to the baby](. Scientists say this year’s hurricane season will be a normal one — but they remind us that normal can be devastating. [Between nine and 15 named storms]( including tropical storms, are forecast to form from June 1 through Nov. 30. --------------------------------------------------------------- The Daily Good The Rolling Stones give songwriting credit and royalties to The Verve. A notorious songwriting dispute left the cult Britpop band without royalties from its biggest hit, "Bitter Sweet Symphony."
