President Trump falsely claimed in a series of tweets Thursday that nearly 3,000 Americans “did not die” after Hurricanes Maria amd Irma. An independent study recently determined the death toll to be far beyond the previous official count of 64. The president blamed Democrats for inflating the figures “to make me look as bad as possible when I was successfully raising Billions of Dollars to help rebuild Puerto Rico. If a person died for any reason, like old age, just add them onto the list." [Read more](.

Apple Watch Series 4 offers heart-monitoring capabilities.
Apple introduced three new iPhones on Wednesday, but the rollout of the watchâs newest update â [users can take their own electrocardiograms, or ECGs, and share them with their doctors]( got a few hearts racing. The announcement immediately raised concerns around medical accuracy and privacy. Dr. Eric Topol, a cardiologist with the Scripps Research Institute, told NPR the heart data can help people learn if they're at risk for a stroke, but it can also increase the chance for false positives. The watch can also alert emergency services if the user has fallen and is immobile for more than a minute. In that case, the watch could send a message along with location to emergency contacts. The new watch will start at $399 and be available Sept. 21.
