Magnetic Mantras to save your life

I used to struggle with the idea of affirmations, {NAME}. Thought they were cheesy. Had a hard time believing, "I'm rich beyond my wildest dreams," as I was avoiding eviction notices. But it turns out, I just wasn't utilizing them correctly. I was using other people's affirmations, attached to their own dreams, and frankly, I just wasn't thrilled about them. I needed to choose a relevant affirmation and mantra for my life and my dreams for the time. And the other missing ingredient in my affirmation strategy was repetition and reminders. It's not enough to read your affirmations one time in the morning and just head out into the world to get "punched in the mouth," as Mike Tyson so delicately says it. You can't just stick a post-it to the mirror and hope these work. The right affirmation can change everything. And if the right affirmation or mantra can change everything, then it deserves to stay top of mind with you, all day, every day. When I got clear on that, life started to shift for me. I knew I could do great things... But I was also pretty lazy. I had big dreams... But I was easily distractable. So I came up with a mantra that meant something to me: "I Choose Greatness." I knew what that meant for me. So I named my alarm on my phone, "I Choose Greatness," so at 4:00am, when that alarm went off, I couldn't ignore my destiny. I had sticky notes on the mirror; On the doors; On my steering wheel. On the fridge. In my notary bag. Everywhere. I didn't have a little elf-coach following me around reminding me of my greatness- most of us don't! That means... We have to take responsibility and remind ourselves of our: - Greatness; - Worth; - Loving nature; - Place in the world; - Wealth; - Growth; - Peace; - Kindness: - Whatever words and mantras align with your values and mission. Using the right affirmation or mantra for you, in the right way, is alchemy.
