{NAME}, Greetings from NYC! Now that Thanksgiving is over, the holiday season is in full swing here: the Christmas trees are on sale, the holiday lights are out, the themed bars are open, and the party invites are rolling in! I think NYC is truly magical during this time of year. There's just so much positive energy in the air. I'm super excited. This will be my first holiday season here in many years and I already have a list of things planned. I'll be playing tourist a lot over the next couple of weeks. Then it's off to Thailand for some R&R! I haven't been in five years and am excited to get back to the place that inspired me to quit my job and travel the world. (I'll probably host a meet-up in Bangkok so [follow me on Instagram](=) for updates!) And, speaking of Instagram, I announced some big personal news there on Sunday. Long story short: I'm stepping back from the blog to focus on writing and (maybe) video. I'm in a creative funk so I'm going to let the team handle the day-to-day of the website while I go think about what's next (I'll still be doing this newsletter). For the longer story, [see this post](. And, finally, it's time for our annual reader survey! Every year, I ask for your feedback so I can better understand your travels and improve the website! [I'd greatly appreciate it if you filled it out](=). The survey is short and anonymous and your feedback will shape the content we create in 2024! COMMUNITY UPDATES 1. LOOKING TO DEEPEN YOUR TRAVELS? For a fun and insightful way to explore a new city, [check out Around](). It's a new platform for finding informative self-guided audio walking tours in cities all around the world. They are put together and narrated by local guides. It's all the fun of a walking tour but at your own pace. [You can get 20% off with the code MATT20,]() but the sale ends today! The best part? You can buy access to Around now but use it in the future when you are traveling! 2. NEW CARD OFFERS! If you're in the US and looking for a new airline credit card, a certain airline (which I'm not allowed to name in an email due to silly bank rules) is currently offering a whopping 75,000 points when you sign up! [You can learn about that card here]( (it's the first one on the list when you scroll down). 3. BLACK FRIDAY SALES CONTINUE!
