{NAME}, Greetings from NYC! It’s been a busy week. Last week, I got an update on my TB diagnosis. We did another CT scan and the cavity in my lung has shrunk substantially. A lot of the other inflammation is gone too. Things are on the right track! I have a follow-up doctor’s visit today to discuss the next steps. Other than that, I’ve been making good on my promise to play tourist in NYC more often. I find it so easy to get caught up in my day-to-day routine — working, going to the gym, running errands, meeting up with friends, and going to events. The week is over before I know it. I’ve started making a more conscious effort to explore NYC by marking off one day each week just for “tourism.” So far, I’ve seen a Broadway show, [gone on a pizza tour](, taken a [historical walking tour](), went to the Statue of Liberty, and I have another food tour lined up this week! It’s been a lot of fun and I’ve learned a lot about this place I call home. I don’t think people play tourist enough in their hometown. No matter where you live, there’s always something to do. Most people don’t even know what's available because it’s not something they’ve spent time researching. We Google things to do in destinations we visit but have you ever done that for your hometown/area? It takes a lot of effort to escape the inertia of life. Work, errands, kids, sleep — all of it easily fills your day. You have to plan and set aside the time. You need to block it off like you would a work meeting. So take the traveler mindset you have and turn it towards your backyard. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at what you find. NEW COMMUNITY UPDATES 1. NEED HELP WITH YOUR BLOG/ONLINE BUSINESS?
