Nomadic Matt’s Travel Tuesday: 15 Year Anniversary Edition

{NAME}, Greetings from my last week in Austin! This is a busy week of selling furniture, final doctor appointments, errands, and goodbye dinners! After eight years in the city, my time has come to an end. (I'll write a blog post explaining this move in the coming weeks.) Next week, I'll be heading to Boston to give a talk on travel hacking ([if you're free on Tuesday, come join](). After that, I'm taking a quick trip to NYC before heading to Europe for our Central Europe and Italy tours! (If you want to go to Europe with us this summer, check out [our June Romania trip]()). This is a big week for another reason too: it marks my fifteenth anniversary in the travel industry. In April 2008, I started this blog as a way to get freelance writing gigs in hopes of keeping corporate life at bay for as long as possible. Fifteen years later, I'm still here. I never planned to have a career in travel. It just sort of happened. It's surreal to me that I'm considered a prominent figure in the industry, I get quoted in the media, and that folks like you come up to me on the street to thank me for helping them with their trips! I'm just a guy who likes to travel so all this (waves hands around) still blows my mind. So, thank you for being here throughout this journey!
