{NAME}, Hello from Austin! (And happy belated new year!) Last year was a fairly great year ([though it wasn't all rainbows and unicorns for me](=)). If I had to distill last year down to one word, I think I would pick "busy." It was the first year since COVID hit that travel was really back and, as such, we were busy, busy, busy. I definitely felt like I was running a mile a minute. This year, my word is "realignment." I am making a conscious effort to cut back work trips and do more fun, nomading trips. I'm also doing a dry January, got a trainer, and continuing my focus on health and fitness. I'm reading more, joining some social clubs, and I am looking forward to a year where I let the team handle more of the day-to-day of the website. I'm going to talk more about goals in next week's email (specifically how they relate to travel), but, right now, I just wanted to welcome you to a new year! If you're looking to travel this year — and would like to come travel with me — we have FIVE spots left on [next month's Oaxaca trip](). I'll show you around the city, introduce you to my friends, teach you about mezcal, and, overall, just share my love of Oaxaca with you. And, if you book by next week, you get $400 off with the code OAXACA. (If you can't make that one, [we have a new departure going in April too](=)!) UPCOMING EVENTS We have lots of cool virtual events coming up this month.
