{NAME}, Greetings from Oban, Scotland, the final stop of my trip. After 6.5 weeks in Europe, it’s time to head back to the States. Scotland has been fantastic. Edinburgh’s Fringe Fest was incredible, I got in some good hiking up in the Highlands, saw the Harry Potter train, and am now off to see a castle and a distillery (I’ve come to Oban specifically for the distillery as they make some of my favorite Scotch). Plus, the train and bus rides have been incredibly scenic. This trip has also confirmed something I've been feeling for a long time: I shouldn’t visit new places at the end of a trip. Because, by the end, all I want to do is chill, read, write, and relax. I want my "me" time. My travel battery is usually depleted after a month or so and that was the case by the time I got to Scotland. While I’ve seen a lot, I definitely didn’t have the energy to see as much as I wanted. I was just too worn out. I wish I saw more. But you always learn something when you travel, right? If not about the world, then about yourself. (Though most of the time it’s both.) For me, that is that new places should always come first. I’m posting a ton of stories and pictures from Scotland on [Instagram](. I’ll have some articles and updates for our guides shortly too. I have a lot to share, especially on how to get around the smaller places in Scotland by public transportation! UPCOMING FREE EVENTS We have lots of virtual events coming up.
