Nomadic Matt's Travel Tuesday

{NAME}, Greetings from Paris! It has been incredible to be back in one of my favorite places on Earth. I celebrated Bastille Day (La fête de la République) last week with my local friends. This is the day they celebrate the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789 and the end of the monarchy. This is like French July 4th. There are parades, people get together with friends, lots of parties, and fireworks. I spent the night having a picnic near the Eiffel Tower and watching the fireworks. After that, I spent a few days roaming Paris. I had some friends in town who had never been here before so I took them to my favorite spots so they too would fall in love with Paris (mission accomplished). And, then this past Sunday, our first TNN tour started! I’m currently leading a group from Paris to Berlin. It’s been fun being back in the tour game. This time, we have a guide with us to help with all the logistics so I can just hang out with the participants. Today, we're exploring the Palace of Versailles and having a picnic in front of the Eiffel Tower. I’ll be pretty busy during the next few weeks but I’m super excited about this tour from a pure travel perspective too. I haven’t been to these destinations since COVID so it’s going to be nice to visit my favorite haunts, see friends, and share my love of all these destinations with the group!
