{NAME}, Hello from Austin! It's been a busy week. Do you ever have those days where you know you did a lot but you just don't feel like you've accomplished anything? That was basically how I've felt the entire last week. But that work is finally paying off and I'm excited to announce one of the projects I've been working on. First, I’m legally required to do this: "The author of this content has received compensation from Airbnb as a Consultant." Remember back in December when I wrote [I was breaking up with Airbnb]( because of their customer service and some of you joked that the CEO would have something to say about that. Well, you were right. He did reach out. I pointed him to all your comments and talked to him about all the ways Airbnb's customer service sucked. And then he said, "Ok, how about we hire you to help us improve our customer service?" So, I'm now working with Airbnb as a paid consultant to help them improve their customer service. I’ll be working with their new head of customer service to bring a real-life traveler’s perspective to their CS systems. I think it's a really cool opportunity. I’ll be giving you updates over the next few months and, at some point, will reach out to get YOUR stories too! It’s nice to see a company acknowledging they need to change. Of course, if this is just lip service, you’ll hear about that too but I honestly believe Airbnb wants to change and I'm ready to give them a chance. So that is this week's big update. Next week, we're announcing our summer group tours so stay tuned for that. UPCOMING FREE EVENTS We have a lot of events coming up!
