{NAME}, Greetings from Austin! After six months on the road, I'm finally back home for a few weeks. ([I'm hosting a meet-up tomorrow btw.]( I won't be here long though. At the end of the month, I'll be heading to NYC and Oaxaca. And, next month, I'll be heading to Spain and France. In short, there's still a lot of travel coming up. This past trip has made me think about the definition of "settling down." I used to think one had a binary choice in life: you were traveling or you were home. But what if home is wherever you lay your head? I think you’re "settled down" when your life has balance to it. You can be perfectly settled while still being a nomad. It’s a concept I’m flushing out in a soon-to-be-posted article. Maybe one day I’ll tire of all this movement and get that house and garden I wrote about in my last book. But today is not that day. There’s balance in my life right now and I see no need to change it. However, I’ll say this: being "home" means I’ll have a chance to get a bunch of work done! Some fun stuff coming soon: our first round of speakers/information for TravelCon, more articles on Croatia, and a few thought pieces on the nature of home and whether or not travel really changes people! So expect a flurry of stuff this month! :) UPCOMING FREE EVENTS We have a lot of awesome events coming up this month so be sure to check them out. They're free and you'll learn a lot.
