{NAME}, How's it going? Can you believe we are halfway through August? Where is this year going?!!! I just wanted to send you a reminder about our virtual author event in two weeks with best-selling author Mark Adams! We're talking to him about his book, Turn Right at Machu Picchu, which is one of my favorite travelogues. In this book, Adams recounts his tale of roughing it through Peru in search of Inca ruins and ancient cities while following archaeologist Hiram Bingham’s original route to Machu Picchu. Mark is kind of a big deal and the fact he's going to spend an hour with us talking about his book, travel writing, and answering your questions is pretty amazing. The book taught me a lot about Peru and inspired me to visit a lot of the sites Adams explored whenever I get there. Pick up this book and read it before our event if you can. But, even if you can't, come join us anyway. Think of this as an author talk at a bookstore. You might walk away inspired! [Click here to sign up (it's free) for our book club conversation with Mark on September 1st!]( If you have any questions, let me know. Best, Nomadic Matt P.S. - If you’re looking for some suggested reading, be sure to [check out all my favorites on Bookshop.]( It's not as cheap as Amazon but the money helps small, independent bookstores rather than Amazon. If you're in the US and UK, buy from them! (But, if you only use Kindle, [here's the Amazon link]( Sent to: {EMAIL} [Unsubscribe]( Nomadic Matt Inc., 207 E. 9th St. , Georgetown, Texas 78626, United States

Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
