{NAME}, Greetings from Santorini! I'm loving life in Greece right now and super thrilled to be back on the road. I'm thinking of staying in Europe longer because I'm just having so much dang fun! June wasn't a great month for books. Once my road trip ended in May, I had so much to catch up on that my reading speed tanked! I ended up only reading three books the entire month! So, this month's list is pretty short! Now that I am on the road, I am reading a lot more so expect next month's list to be a lot bigger! [Tell Her She Can't: Inspiring Stories of Unstoppable Women]( - This is a new book by travel blogger Kelly Lewis. It's part memoir, part collection of short stories. I'll be honest: I haven't read this yet. But I love Kelly and her past writing is pretty amazing so I wanted to share it with you. If you're looking for an inspiring book to help you decide to travel the world, this could be it! Get it on [Amazon]( | [Bookshop]( [Three Tigers, One Mountain: A Journey Through the Bitter History and Current Conflicts of China, Korea, and Japan]( - Michael Booth is a UK writer I've loved for years. Ever since picking up his book Eat Pray Eat back in 2016, I've read all his books. This is his recent book about East Asia. While I don't think it's his best work, it is filled with information about this region of the world that I had no idea about. It's very educational. I think it's a must-read for visiting this part of the world! Get it on [Amazon]( | [Bookshop]( [Leave Only Footprints: My Acadia-to-Zion Journey Through Every National Park]( - Conor Knight was supposed to get married. Then his fiance walked out on him. Left with little to do and a desire to escape, he pitched his producers the idea of visiting every US national park in one year. I found this book informative, inspirational, and well-written. There's a lot of good insight into our parks. It will definitely make you want to get outside — and it will give you suggestions for national parks to visit that don't have crowds! Get it on [Amazon]( | [Bookshop]( OUR AUGUST BOOK CLUB PICK IS..... This new book by Scott Keyes of Scott's Cheap Flights explains how to get cheap flights and improve your trips. It's half practical tips and half travel philosophy. There's a lot of information on how airlines and ticket pricing works. Scott demystifies the entire process. Most of these strategies will apply to you regardless of where you live in the world so you'll be able to save a ton of money on future trips! [Join us for our book club conversation with Scott on August 4th!]( *** If you’re looking for some suggested reading, be sure to [check out all my favorites on Bookshop.]( It's not as cheap as Amazon but the money helps small, independent bookstores rather than Amazon. If you're in the US and UK, buy from them! (But, if you only use Kindle, [here's the Amazon link]( If you need anything, let me know! Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
