{NAME}, Greetings from Naxos! After a long flight and a lot of sleep (jet lag hit me hard), I am finally out enjoying Greece!!!! Today is the first big day of my trip. I took a long ferry over to Naxos and spent the afternoon exploring the town and planning the next few days. I'm here through the week and plan to hit the beach (a lot), do some hiking, tour the island, and do a food tour. There's not a lot of people on the island and most are Europeans. Entering the country is pretty easy. They leave it to the airline to check your vaccination/test status. Immigration didn't check for it and they barely looked at the health-screening form you're required to fill out before you arrive. They seem to only want to make sure you have something. The same goes with the ferries too. I have yet to see any real increase in health checks due to COVID. Greece was never really a stickler for rules and formalities so I'm not too shocked that what they say they will do and what they actually do are two different things. I guess some things never change! After Naxos, I'm off to Ios, Santorini, and then Crete. That's all I have worked out so far. But who knows what will happen? I'm keeping things flexible. Needless to say, I'm super-duper excited to be back on the road (and for all these €1 glasses of wine). Be sure to follow me on [Instagram]( or [Twitter]( as I'll be posting most of my photos/insights there.
