= = {NAME}, Hello from NYC! There's a lot going on this week! First, it's the sixteen-year anniversary of my blog! (My blog went live on March 25th, 2008 so, technically, it was last week!) I started this website to get freelance writing gigs and it has morphed into something totally different. I wrote about the journey on Instagram yesterday. [You can check it out here](. Second, I'm finally getting ready to travel again, which is good because I'm getting cabin fever. Next weekend, I'm off to Miami for a couple of days to meet some friends and sit by the beach. I'm not a huge fan of Miami but it's a convenient place to get some sun! Then, at the end of the month, I'm heading to Toronto to speak at The Travel Summit, a points & miles event. [Be sure to grab your ticket here](. Use the code NOMADICMATT to get 25% off. Also, in May, I'll be speaking at TravelCon, the premier event for people working in the travel industry. The event is May 15-17th. [Grab your ticket here!]( I'm also heading to Paris in May and am very stoked about that! There's a lot coming up! I have a few more trips in the works that I will share later. Two final housekeeping notes: First, I've re-added World Nomads as a recommended company. I took them off due to internal changes at the company but, after speaking with the new team and the customer service changes they've made, I've added them back! [You can click here to learn more](. Second, speaking of insurance, if you've used SafetyWing and have filed a claim with them, respond to this email and let me know about your experience. I'd love to know. UPCOMING FREE WEBINARS 1. [How to Always Find a Cheap Flight]() - Next week, I'll be sitting down with cheap flight expert Scott Keyes from [Going.com]() (formerly Scott's Cheap Flights) to talk about all things flying. The event is FREE to attend and is on April 9th at 12pm EDT. [You can sign up here](). 2. [Everything You Need to Know About Travel Insurance]( - Have questions about picking the right policy for your trip? Join our FREE webinar with Insure My Trip and find out everything you need to know! The event is on April 30th at 7pm EDT.
