Our endorsed candidates, their staff, and dedicated volunteers are busy gathering signatures, making phone calls, knocking on doors, and writing postcards to get on the ballot, get out the vote, and keep or flip their seats blue in November. We at No Dem Left Behind are feeling the excitement as well – we’ve been inundated with so many fantastic applications for candidates seeking our endorsement, I wish we could support them all. Unfortunately, as a fairly new PAC, we still have to be pretty selective about how we spend our limited resources, but the good news is, [t]( more support we get from folks like you, the more candidates we can endorse going forward.]( Meanwhile, I just want to tell you how excited we are about the candidates we have endorsed so far this cycle. By now, I’m sure you’re aware of our stellar lineup of endorsed U.S. Senate candidates: Congressman Tim Ryan of Ohio, Congresswoman Val Demings of Florida, Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski of Wisconsin, Air Force Veteran Brian Bengs of South Dakota and Marine veteran and anti-corruption activist Lucas Kunce of Missouri. But I also want to make sure you know about the amazing U.S. House candidates we have endorsed and the type of character, work ethic, and knowledge they will bring to the halls of Congress: - FL-19: Dr. Cindy Banyai You may remember Cindy, a college government professor and former competitive boxer, from the 2020 cycle – she was part of NDLB’s inaugural class of endorsees. She didn’t win that race, but she ran an impressive campaign, setting fundraising records in her heavily red district and increasing Democratic turnout nearly 5%. When Cindy called to tell me she was running again, I was thrilled – flipping a seat from red to blue takes time and perseverance. You have to build infrastructure, develop a team, establish name recognition, and yes, raise money. Cindy is doing all those things, and I couldn't be more excited to help support her efforts. - CO-04: Ike McCorkle This retired Marine and single dad is a passionate advocate for working-class and rural folks with an ambitious campaign platform modeled after FDR’s “New Deal.” He’s an avid hiker who says his love of the outdoors has turned him into an “unapologetic environmentalist,” and his platform is full of innovative, practical ideas for tackling climate change while creating new jobs and making America less dependent on foreign oil. We’re excited to lend Ike our support. - TX-08: Laura Jones When Laura, a real estate agent and community activist, moved from big-city Houston to rural Texas, she found that she had no high-speed internet access, no local doctor she could visit, and the mail took weeks to get delivered. Laura was in shock about all this and decided to get involved to try and make things better. She started by volunteering with the San Jacinto County Democrats and quickly became Chair, working closely with the Texas’ Democratic Rural Caucus to elect candidates who want to improve rural people’s access to health care, broadband, educational options, and job opportunities while preserving the beauty and well-being of the land. Now, she’s one of those candidates herself, and we’re proud to support her. - GA-14: Marcus Flowers Marcus probably needs no introduction: He became a household name the moment he decided to run against the infamous Marjorie “Traitor” Greene. Now, Marcus could have sat back and let Marge do all his campaign work for him just by being her embarrassing and treasonous self, but that’s not his style – Marcus is working his rear end off to show the people of his district why he deserves this seat. Marcus is a phenomenal candidate with an unwavering work ethic – I suppose he gets that from his days serving in the U.S. Army. Every time I call Marcus or anyone on his team, they are hard at work – either out in the community meeting with folks face-to-face, or on the phones raising the funds they need to take this seat back from the QAnon Caucus. I have a few more candidates I want to introduce to you, but first, I’ve got to ask for one thing: Both our House Fund and Senate Fund could use some love from you today! [This isn’t a sprint, though, it’s a marathon, so please consider making your donation a monthly one so that we can build this movement.]( Now, let’s continue with the rundown of our fabulous House slate! - KS-02: Patrick Schmidt Patrick is a former Naval Intelligence Officer, and as a fan of the CBS series NCIS: LA, I have to admit I was a little geeked out getting to meet with him the first time we spoke. What I took away from that meeting was how poised and intelligent he is. During that first meeting, Patrick spoke expertly on the numerous environmental challenges facing Kansas, from lead-contaminated drinking water to the effects of fracking on farming and agriculture, and proposed innovative and achievable solutions for it all. I was blown away by the depth of his knowledge and understanding. That was the trigger that got me to call our staff in and say, “We have to support this guy.” - IA-01: Christina Bohannan Christina is a state lawmaker and legal professor running to unseat Republican Marianette Miller Meeks. This is one of the closest races we’re involved in – it’s literally a 50-50 district that the GOP incumbent won in 2020 by only 6 votes. The differences this time are 1) The district lines have been redrawn since then to make the district slightly less Republican, and 2) We have a charismatic, highly intelligent superstar on our side who will tilt the scales in our favor. Folks, I’m beyond thrilled with the spectacular lineup of candidates we have in the mix. You can help elect ALL of them with a single donation to No Dem Left Behind. [So please, chip in today, and let’s remind the country that Democrats are the real party of rural America and the working class!]( --Hassan Martini, Executive Director, and the No Dem Left Behind team No Dem Left Behind is a federal PAC focused on building a base of support for progressive values in rural America. We are committed to helping solve the issues that people in rural America face by creating a foundation of trust and helping great local leaders emerge to run for elected office. We provide a national platform for our endorsed Democratic candidates to increase their exposure and help them mount winning campaigns.
