Now, funnily enough, I’m actually MORE educated than Dinesh D’Souza – I have a master’s degree in business and organizational security, while he only has a B.A. in English. Meanwhile, his claims about bestselling books are laughable lies – like other books written by famous GOPers, his books land on the NYT bestseller list because the RNC places enormous bulk orders to game the system and make sure he grabs the top spot. This practice is so common that the NYT started putting a little dagger symbol next to book titles that land on their list this way – and Dinesh D’Souza’s books all have it (so do most other right-wing “bestsellers”). But that’s not really the point – the point is that Dinesh D’Souza is using the fact that his rich parents paid his way through fancy prep schools and got him into Dartmouth as a way to shame and silence less privileged folks who call him out on his lying B.S., and it disgusts me. Look, you can go to state college, community college, or no college at all and still be smart enough to see through Dinesh D’Souza’s B.S. Hell, a 6th-grader at the most underperforming public school in the country could probably thoroughly debunk “2000 Mules” with a 30-second TikTok video! Meanwhile, plenty of the dumbest, most immoral people on the planet went to Ivy League schools. Unless you’re somebody who went there on full scholarship, going to an Ivy is often more indicative of your parents’ financial status and connections than your level of intelligence. Consider this: Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Ron DeSantis, J.D. Vance, Tom Cotton, and the Unabomber all went to Ivy League schools. So, just because Dinesh D’Souza went to Dartmouth 40 years ago doesn’t mean he’s a smart guy or a decent guy. But he is a liar and admitted fraudster who had to be pardoned by his fellow fraudster Trump after pleading guilty and going to jail for campaign finance fraud – which means he owes his freedom and his livelihood to Trump. Even Trump’s own former Attorney General Bill Barr laughed out loud during the January 6th hearings when asked about “2000 Mules.” He called it “unimpressive” and “indefensible,” and said Trump’s and D’Souza’s claims of widespread voter fraud were “bullshit.” Y’all know I call it like I see it, so here it is: Dinesh D’Souza is a lying, grifting, treasonous blowhard with zero integrity who is actively undermining our democracy by helping Trump spread The Big Lie. Just like Trump’s January 6th collaborators, Dinesh D’Souza knows he’s slinging total B.S. that only the stupidest and most gullible members of Trump’s cult could ever believe. But since he threw his career away by committing election fraud himself and Trump enabled him to skip out on his punishment, he’ll tank what’s left of his reputation to help Trump out. It’s actually sort of sad to watch. I’m not intimidated by Dinesh D’Souza or anyone else in the GQP, so I’m going to keep calling out their lying B.S. wherever I see it! FACT: There is NO credible evidence of widespread election fraud by Democrats during the 2020 election, and in fact, the few isolated cases of voter fraud that have been discovered were committed by Republicans. FACT: The REAL danger to our democracy is the GQP and their anti-American promotion of The Big Lie, alongside their ongoing plan to take control of electoral systems in battleground states before Trump runs again in 2024. Folks, I’m going to do everything I can to keep fighting these GQP jackaloons so we can defeat them at the ballot box this November and save our democracy.
