Have you HEARD the stuff coming out of the mouth of Trump’s handpicked Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Georgia, former football star Herschel Walker? We’re not joking when we say this guy clearly took a few too many hard hits to the head back in his NFL days. We’re also not joking when we say he may be the only person on Earth who lies more often than his good buddy Trump. [We’re about to give you a quick rundown on the craziest of the crazy things Herschel Walker has said, but first, can you chip in a quick donation to the No Dem Left Behind Senate Fund to help us make sure this brain-damaged Trump fanatic never gets anywhere near the U.S. Senate?]( This week’s latest scandal is that Herschel has been telling his audiences he used to be a police officer and an FBI agent. Both are outright lies – he has never been employed by a police department in any capacity, and although he once attended a weeklong training at the FBI Academy in Quantico, he was never employed there, either. Despite all that, he was caught bragging during a speech: “Y’all didn’t know I was an agent?” The most pathetic thing is, this is just the continuation of a decades-long trend for Herschel Walker, who has been caught lying about ALL of the following: - Being valedictorian of his high school class (he wasn’t). - Graduating in the top 1% of his class at the University of Georgia (actually, he didn’t graduate at all). - Claiming he never lied about graduating college (this was also a lie). - Starting and owning “the world’s largest minority-owned” and “America’s largest” textile company” (there is no record of him having started or owned any textile company at all) - Employing “hundreds of people” at his chicken company (government records show just 8 employees). - Owning “the world’s largest minority-owned food service company” (his chicken business isn’t even the largest minority-owned food service company in Georgia). - Owning multiple chicken processing plants (he doesn’t own a single one – his self-named brand of chicken products is the result of a licensing deal he made with a distributor to put his name on their products and a get a cut of their earnings). - Making $80 million each year in revenue from his chicken business (actual earnings: $1.5 million per year). - And of course, as previously mentioned, having served as a cop and an FBI agent (absolutely false!). So, just like his idol Trump, Herschel Walker lies all the time about easily disproven things … but perhaps even worse are the things he says that aren’t lies! Take these statements, for example: On COVID-19: “Do you know right now, I have something that can bring you into a building that would clean you from Covid as you walk through this dry mist. As you walk through the door, it will kill any Covid on your body. When you leave, it will kill the virus as you leave. This here product – they don't want to talk about that. They don't want to hear about that.” (The Glenn Beck Show, 2020) On the Uvalde, TX school shooting: “Cain killed Abel and that's a problem that we have. What we need to do is look into how we can stop those things. You know, you talked about doing a disinformation – what about getting a department that can look at young men that's looking at women, that's looking at their social media. What about doing that? Looking into things like that and we can stop that that way.” (Fox News, 2022) On whether he would support gun safety reform legislation: “What I like to do is see it and everything and stuff.” (CNN, 2022) On his habit of playing Russian Roulette with a loaded gun: “I wasn’t suicidal, I just looked at mortality as the ultimate challenge.” (“Breaking Free,” 2008) On his plot to kill a man who was late delivering a car he bought: “The logical side of me knew that what I was thinking of doing to this man — murdering him for messing up my schedule — wasn’t a viable alternative. But another side of me was so angry that all I could think was how satisfying it would feel to step out of the car, pull out the gun, slip off the safety, and squeeze the trigger … the visceral enjoyment I’d get from seeing the small entry wound and the spray of brain tissue and blood — like a Fourth of July firework — exploding behind him.” (Breaking Free, 2008) While pointing a gun at his ex-wife: “I’m going to blow your f’ing brains out.” (CNN, 2021) So yeah … Herschel Walker clearly belongs nowhere near the U.S. Senate. Maybe not even near other human beings, period.
