Donald Trump is all over the news today both here and in Russia for two very different reasons … and neither is good news for America. Here at home, he’s making headlines not just for the 7 ½ hours of calls and texts missing from his phone records during the January 6 coup attempt, but for brazenly calling on Vladimir Putin to dig up and release any dirt he can find on President Biden and his family. Meanwhile, over on Russia’s state-controlled media, Evgeny Popov, a state TV host and member of the Russian Duma, called for “regime change” in the U.S. and asked the Russian government “to again help our partner Trump to become President,” preferably “before [President Biden’s] term expires.” Let me put this into context, folks: While Putin is murdering thousands of Ukrainian civilians and threatening to nuke us if we try to stop him, Trump thinks now is a great time to ask him to dig up dirt on the President of the United States. Since “Putin now is not exactly a fan of our country,” Trump explained in a recent interview, “I think Putin would now be willing” to help take America’s President down. Let’s be clear: President Biden is right now staring down the barrel of Putin’s nuclear arsenal trying to avert World War 3. A former president like Trump should understand the gravity of that, and not be trying to undermine America’s leadership while giving aid and comfort to our enemy. But of course, Trump isn’t any normal kind of ex-President. His election was bought-and-paid-for by Putin himself – I mean, come on, even Putin’s mouthpieces on Russian state TV are freely admitting it now! When you look at the whole of Trump’s political career, only one conclusion makes any sense: He’s been a Russian asset all along, propped up by Putin’s Kremlin to try to weaken or even destroy American democracy from within. - As far back as 2014, Eric Trump bragged to a reporter that his family didn’t need American money to fund their business ventures grifts because “we have all the funding we need out of Russia.” - In 2016, GOP House Speaker wannabe Kevin McCarthy said he believed Donald Trump, then still just a candidate for President, was on Putin’s payroll. - Trump’s own ambassador to the UN, John Bolton, has said he thinks Putin waited until now to invade Ukraine because he’d been hoping for a second term for Trump because he felt like Trump was “doing a lot of his work for him” and “easing his path” toward a takeover of Ukraine. - Trump’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, was sentenced to almost a decade in the federal pen after investigators found evidence he was working with Russian spies to sway U.S. elections and policy in the directions Putin wanted. (Trump issued him a full pardon in 2020.) - Multiple Russian nationals have been indicted for making millions of dollars’ worth of illegal contributions to Trump’s PAC network. That’s all before you even consider his ongoing public praise for Putin and his family’s constant promotion of Russian disinformation on social media, both before and after the invasion of Ukraine! Unfortunately, Trump isn’t the only one – there are others in the Republican Party who seem eager to do Putin’s bidding, too. I’ll name just a few of them: - Tucker Carlson, the FOX News host who regurgitates Kremlin talking points during his show each night – clips of which are widely replayed on Russian state media. - Congresswoman Marjorie “Traitor” Greene, who called on America and its allies to turn our backs on Ukraine and let Putin take over as dictator, and called our NATO allies “Nazis.” - Congressman Madison Cawthorn, who called Ukraine’s brave President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a “thug” and accused the Ukrainian of being “incredibly corrupt,” “incredibly evil,” and “pushing woke ideologies.” - Congressman Paul Gosar, who appeared alongside Rep. Greene at an event sponsored by white nationalists the day after Putin invaded Ukraine where the host praised the invasion and the crowd cheered “Putin! Putin!” just before they took the stage. - Congressman Matt Rosendale, who introduced a ridiculous bill banning aid to Ukraine until a 30-foot wall is constructed along the entirety of the U.S.-Mexico border and the border is completely sealed. {NAME}, when one of America’s two main political parties has become this compromised by a dangerous foreign enemy, that’s a serious national security crisis. I have to believe that the DOJ and our intelligence agencies are aware of the situation and working behind the scenes to address it. But in the meantime, it’s up to you and me to do our part to remove these traitors from office on election day – and make sure they STAY out. Sappers clear the way, Airborne all the way! We can’t allow these GQP jackaloons who sympathize with – or worse, admire – a murderous, authoritarian thug like Putin to continue destroying America from within.
