I know it's getting late, and this note is a bit long.

Just like last week, I really wanted to send you a positive and hopeful message of encouragement this evening to mull over while you're trying to fall asleep. This week we focused on getting vaccinated and fighting the misinformation being spread by the GOP regarding the vaccine. And all of that is very true. However, we can't lose sight of the good things that make winning so important. First off, this week we passed a huge infrastructure deal which will benefit the American people — Democrats, Republicans, Independents — who are generally very pleased with President Biden's bold action in office. Take, for example, the American Rescue Plan, which is creating quality jobs, relief for working families, and rebuilding our infrastructure. And President Biden has already acted swiftly to reverse some of Trump's damage including undoing the rollbacks on environmental protections so we can combat the climate crisis and strengthening the ACA to ensure affordable, accessible healthcare for millions of Americans. Another hopeful sign that I've personally come across lately has been through our NDLB endorsement process. I've met with several candidates, and applications continue to pour in from all across the country. These incredible folks are part of the reason I'm up right now burning the midnight oil — because they're truly inspiring. These are people who understand the struggles in their communities and want to make a difference through real-world solutions and better the lives of constituents. Honestly, not to get too cheesy on you, but it's really quite moving to see how passionate they are about changing this country. And that's what it all boils down to. We need to win because Democrats are actively making meaningful progress for Americans that must be continued. We need to win and elect even more Democrats with strong values and a determination to improve the lives of working families. We need to win because we're already headed in the right direction and because there is hope to go even further. So before I let you get back to your families and get some rest, I'll leave you with this thought: imagine the possibilities if we not only protect our current Democratic majorities, but we expand.
