Summer Lee was running for reelection unopposed in PA – that is until AIPAC paid off Patel to enter the race͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ The So-Called Progressive Urging Republicans to Register to Vote in a Democratic Primary  All across the country, special interest groups have been working to oust members of the Squad from government, and Bhavini Patel is the latest candidate who has been bought by AIPAC to run against Summer Lee. Patel recently urged Republicans in PA to register as Democrats and vote in the Democratic primary to bump her opponent – incumbent Summer Lee – off the ballot. These dirty tactics are part of a vast array of underhanded and often borderline illegal techniques that dark money groups use to silence their political opponents.  No Dem Left Behind believes in diversity in our nation's politics. When candidates from many different backgrounds, often women of colour, are targeted by dark money groups, we feel compelled to take a stand.  It does not matter that AIPAC has found a candidate who ticks the diversity box on paper, because Patel is working to oust an opponent who truly believes in progressive principles. She has cited no reason for opposing Lee aside from Lee's politics being "divisive".  While Summer Lee is working to make a difference, she is facing attacks on all sides, as are the other Squad members. And yet, from supporting Medicare for All and the Green New Deal to advocating for police reform and student debt relief, they mirror the aspirations and concerns of diverse communities nationwide.  Despite their unwavering commitment to these crucial issues, these progressive leaders face a well-funded campaign aimed at silencing their voices. AIPAC's substantial financial backing is attempting to portray these principled stances as radical and unwelcome. They are expected to spend at least $100 million in Democratic primaries with the focus of ousting these dedicated individuals, which shows their determination to undermine the progress we've fought hard to achieve.  It's essential to highlight that the Squad members stand against big-money interests, relying solely on grassroots support and small-dollar donations. They embody the true spirit of representation, unwavering in their dedication to the values they were elected to uphold.  This battle isn't just about these individuals; it's about safeguarding the principles they champion—principles that resonate with the majority of Americans. The Squad's call for a ceasefire for the war in Palestine represents the viewpoint of 75% of Democrats and roughly half of Republicans, according to the latest data from Reuters.  Moreover, this isn't merely a partisan issue. AIPAC's actions, including endorsing 109 radical Republican members who sought to overturn the 2020 election, show a broader trend of supporting those pushing for unconditional military aid and conservative policy priorities.  As we look ahead, we must unite to ensure that money-driven agendas do not drown out diverse voices or thwart progressive policies. Your support is crucial in this fight against disproportionate influence and the preservation of true democratic representation.  [Your donation to No Dem Left Behind will help us amplify diverse voices, support principled leaders, and foster a political landscape that values accountability, bipartisanship, and integrity.
