So many important issues and critical candidates will be on the ballot, and it is up to us to help Democrats be successful across the board in the New Year.  To help keep our goals in order, let's make a short list of New Year's Resolutions for the Democrats in 2024:  Win the House: Mike Johnson and the MAGA wing of Republicans have brought absolute chaos to the House of Representatives. After the failures of McCarthy, Republicans have appointed election denier Mike Johnson as Speaker. We have a chance to end this chaos in 2024 by electing Democrats in key races and giving Hakeem Jeffries the gavel going into 2025.  Defend the Senate: Joe Manchin dealt a critical blow this past year announcing that he will not be running for re-election to the Senate in 2024. This means Democrats will likely have to pick up seats across the country to help defend the Senate, but we have great candidates to put up in this fight. A few names to watch out for: Colin Allred from Texas, Ruben Gallego from Arizona, and John Tester from Montana. With your help, we can pick up seats and defend the Senate.  Beat Donald Trump: It is no secret that the Republican primary has been a complete sham. Every candidate not named Trump is struggling, likely because they are too afraid to address the elephant in the room: their party has been taken over by extremists who idolize a wanna-be autocrat. In 2024, we need to protect our democracy and ensure Trump does not get another chance in the white house. If we can get a clean sweep in these three resolutions, we will be setting America up for a better future.  [Democrats are fighting for issues that truly matter to the American people, such as a woman’s right to choose, Medicare for all, and defending important social programs like Social Security.
