This is a testament to the hard work and diligence of volunteers and organizers across the state. When the voice of the people is heard, it echoes nationwide. Even in deep-red areas where Trump carried the vote in Ohio, abortion won the majority of the vote. Per The New York Times: "Among the Trump counties that voted for the amendment, the abortion rights vote was stronger where Mr. Trump won by smaller margins." Other elections across the nation saw Democratic wins, like that of Governor Andy Beshear of Kentucky, Virginia gaining a Democratic majority in both chambers and a seat on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. These races all saw a focus on reproductive rights and the freedom to make choices about our bodies.  What’s next?  Reproductive rights and freedoms win NATIONWIDE. The majority of Americans agree with this sentiment, and we must fight to ensure that all Americans have access to this lifesaving healthcare.  Wins like these are only possible with the power of organizing and ballot initiatives.
