yet, not a word from the national Republican party... {NAME}, yesterday the country felt a rumble that we have not felt in a very long time. The morning started with an incredible piece of reporting by Josh Kaplan at ProPublica that uncovered some truly breathtaking allegations: Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has been taking some of the most extravagant and lavish vacations imaginable filled with chartered flights, yacht adventures, and so much more. None of this he reported or mentioned, and the one giving this to him and his MAGA-insurrectionist wife Ginni Thomas. Citizens United, the SCOTUS ruling that is at the core of what is destroying our country comes to mind, as well as so many other undemocratic, un-American rulings that Justice Thomas has contributed to in the courts. Democrats in Congress in both the House and Senate shared our outrage and immediately called for an investigation and, on the GOP side...silence. By the afternoon, the rumble turned into violent shaking that lasted for hours and even had former President Obama chiming in late last night. In Tennessee, Rep. Justin Jones, Rep. Justin Pearson, and Rep. Gloria Johnson have been actively protesting alongside citizens for gun reform. Two of the three were expelled from the Tennessee House of Representatives. Read: a group of white lawmakers with deep southern accents removed two black men from their democratically elected positions and, once again, not a peep from national Republican leaders. We cannot forget why this happened in the first place: thousands of Tennessee's youth flocked to the halls of the Tennessee legislature demanding gun reform after yet another tragic school shooting that took the lives of innocent 9-year-olds and their teachers and principal. America's youth will not tolerate business as usual when it comes to guns in this country and those that protested at the capital are not going anywhere. In 2024, they may be of voting age. Folks, this is not a moment for us to take lightly and brush aside. Yesterday was just the beginning. Today, we need to continue the work. We need to organize with the youth of America, especially those in rural America. We need to show them they have a home in the Democratic Party and that we share their vision for what America can look like. Now is the time for all of us to step up, and to do that we need you {NAME}. [Can you pitch in and help us organize?
