Who is next to enter the MAGA GOP Presidential rat race? [continue reading] {NAME}, that is the question that has been posed to me over the weekend with friends and family who turn to me anytime they have any kind of political question. This question had me taken aback because just like that, we have entered a Presidential cycle and, folks, those are different. The energy in a Presidential election is different, it is everywhere you go, and it is grueling for those of us that find ourselves in the midst of it. Something most people don't realize is Donald Trump was very supportive of Nikki Haley entering the race, he is hopeful that the usual suspects enter their name next: Pompeo, Pence, Ted Cruz, Dessantos, and Abbot...he even wants to see George Santos enter. Trump has the biggest, most loyal (albeit delusional) base. By default, the more Republican candidates run, the better Trump's chances are of winning the MAGA GOP nomination. Here is where things get complicated: Republican strategists and their party leaders know that Trump cannot win a popular vote, and he cannot win a free and fair election. But here is the scary part: they are unphased by this and the reason for that is what keeps me up at night. The Republicans have their focus on state legislatures and the courts. For example, in Wisconsin, we are gearing up for one of the most consequential state Supreme Court races in the history of the United States. It is so important because the majority is at stake. Supreme Court justices are supposed to be non-partisan, but we saw how that worked out for us in the United States Supreme Court this past year. If we can win this crucial race this is what it means for us: -Fair election maps that open up 2 US House districts favorable for our side-Protecting a woman's right to choose in Wisconsin-Ensuring an uncompromised 2024 electoral process for whoever wins the electoral votes in Wisconsin Remember, Wisconsin was vital to President Biden winning the 2020 election, and we need them again in 2024. So yes, Nikki Haley entering the Presidential race is going to make a lot of headlines and will have cable news pundits talking, but that is not what is the most important story right now. The Wisconsin Supreme Court race is the focus, and we must match the dark money that the GOP is pouring into the race. We have partnered with Wisconsin groups on the ground making sure the energy and organizing power is there and we get the vote out and we win this race. Folks this is code RED! We cannot afford to let this race go without doing everything in our power to win, so that means all of us. That means you too {NAME}![If you are in a position to give $24, $240, $2,400, or even just $2.40 - the price of a cup of coffee in WI, then please do that right now.]( [Chip in $24 →]( [Chip in $150 →]( [Chip in $240 →]( [Chip in other amount →]( {NAME}, please also stay tuned as I update you on what comes next in WI and our other battleground states. - Hassan Martini Executive Director No Dem Left Behind Paid for by No Dem Left Behind PAC.
